Kamil Sobański

Kamil Sobański is a PhD student at the Digital Justice Center.

Kamil Sobański received his master’s degree in law from the University of Wrocław. Kamil wrote his master’s thesis at the Chair of International and European Law. His paper involved using remote methods in proceedings before the International Criminal Court.

During his studies he was the president of Science Circle of International and European Law and a member of Science Cricle of Human Rights and Debate Club.

Kamil was also a member of the Student Parliament, the Council of the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics (as a student representative) and Student Council of the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics (as a faculty student representative).

He gained his practical experience as a trainee at the Office of the Commisioner for Human Rights (Poland), where he considered Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Penal Enforcement cases. Kamil was also a trainee in law firm specialized in criminal cases. He was a member of University Legal Clinic. Kamil was also a Student Research Assistant at the Digital Justice Center.

Kamil gained his international experience by participating in a one- semester Erasmus + programme at the University of Liège (Belgium). Kamil has also participated in international summer schools. He is also a volunteer at the Project Sunflowers.

His research is focused on International Criminal Law (especially procedural aspects), Criminal Procedure and the influence of new technologies on the criminal justice systems.
